Job Title: Media Center Coordinator Code#D4-336

Description: The Media Center Coordinator will be responsible for providing training for all staff on the use and dissemination of educational materials through various informational media and technologies; standardizing all unit publications; providing training for all research and extension staff to enhance communications techniques; writing, producing, and editing information for news releases; coordinating the production of newsletters, fact sheets, brochures and reports designed for target audiences; working cooperatively with staff to interpret and translate technical and scientific information for release to the public; and developing innovative publications to promote research and extension. The Center Coordinator will work cooperatively with University Relations, administrators, and other personnel to coordinate public relations activities and develop special events related to Lincoln University and Cooperative Research and Extension. The coordinator will supervise other media center staff. This position will be open until filled. Qualifications: Master's degree in Journalism, Communications or closely related field; a minimum of 5 years of editing and writing experience, preferably in higher education, at least 2 years experience , preferably in higher education; at least 2 years experience in supervising personnel; thorough knowledge of Adobe Suite and Microsoft Office; and excellent verbal, written, communication, presentation, and management skills are required. Applicant should also be knowledgeable about photography and photo editing.
Salary Benefits: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00
