Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor, Human Nutrition (Tenure Track) Code#D4-292
Campus: Main
Functional Area: Administration
Description: This is a 75% Research / 25% Teaching full-time, tenure track position. The successful candidate is required to develop a Research Program in Nutrition with particular emphasis on obesity and obesity-related chronic health problems and their prevention. The candidate is expected to collaborate with other faculty members in Cooperative Research and Extension whose primary mission is to enhance the quality of life for diverse underserved populations. Lincoln University is an 1890 Land Grant Institution that receives USDA formula grant to support its programs in Cooperative Research and Extension but the candidate is expected to obtain extramural funding to enhance the Nutrition Research Program. As a faculty member in the Department of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences, the successful candidate will be expected to teach the basic undergraduate nutrition course and will have the opportunity to teach other courses in her/his area of expertise. Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Nutrition or closely related area with evidence of excellent research potential and teaching ability. Postdoctoral research experience is desirable. Applicants must have ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
