This position will have a 100% commitment to a funded DoD contract. The ability to transform the complex structural parameters of a minefield into a coherent and integrated computer model that will support robotically-operated mine detection systems is expected. This project parallels another currently-funded DoD program that is expanding its land mine detection training emphasis towards the introduction of robotic devices to supplement and/or replace manned, hand-held mine detectors. |
| Qualifications: | A MS, with PhD preferred, in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with proven experience using computer modeling, simulation and/or gaming development software is required. Applicant must be available February 1, 2008 with an initial 12 month appointment anticipated. The position has a high probability of continuation, pending future DoD support and satisfactory performance.
